>About Me

Its very hard to choose your audience when making anything, a double edged sword of the internet age is that everyone has access to anything. Furthermore this is being hosted on a publicly accessible website that I dont know how to block anyone from seeing. Instead of thrashing against the towering waves of this wine dark sea and trying to choose an audience, I think it would be a lot more productive to investigate, and try and discover who this audience is. The most obvious candidates are the fellow students of the class I am writing this reading narrative for. This observation falls flat both practically and philosophically. Firstly my boss and professor John Buckley has forbidden my fellow classmates from being my audience. His blatant authoritarianism aside, just thinking through the idea of my classmates being my audience shows the many flaws in that idea. Firstly I dont want them knowing this much about me. Not that I am ashamed or embarrassed of my past and experiences in any way, but I am generally a private person when it comes to people I dont know well (I promise to address the hilarity of this statement when paired with the fact I am hosting this webpage on Neo Cities I promise). Secondly there wouldnt need to be as much explaining as I am giving. I would not need to specify exactly who John Buckley is or the general purpose of a reading narrative because a lot of that is simply implied by our being here.
