The natural appendage of this train of thought is that John Buckley himself is the target audience. While he must read this (Hey John) calling him the target audience is equally as problematic. First off him being my audience has been forbidden, and I do not wish to rock the boat on this issue. On a more micro level, I dont think John would enjoy this very much. I doubt he has the required neurosis to relate to the key parts of what I am saying. The shared issue between John as audience and the class as audience is their proximity to me. They know too much for my explanations to be useful, but not enough that I can feel comfortable letting them wander in the pages.
